Hahah, I stopped watching Heroes after they saved the cheerleader, but actually, in canon, the main character of Sawatte Kawatte! is the only one who read all the of the nerdy books, so your intuition is correct. I think by second season he gets all gloomy and bizarre and Ando and he stop hanging out together and being OTP, but since I've never seen those episodes I can pretend they don't exist!
