I loved reading this! :D
I have to say, though, if you think the sets are bad on Star Trek, the sight of classic Doctor Who or Blake's 7 will horrify you. I never thought of the Enterprise as being made out of cardboard, because the walls don't wobble when you lean against them. The same cannot be said of contemporary British SF shows I have loved.
