Oh dear god, the Pens/Flyers game just made the BBC News... as in I just looked up from my sofa in the UK and saw Tanger's fight as the backdrop to the newsreader commenting on the highly spirited ice hockey match and the astounding amount of penalty minutes clocked up by each team.

I have never, ever, seen hockey on the news here. If we're really lucky, the super bowl half time show might get a passing mention, but other than that north american sports might as well exist in a black hole.

The circus really has come to town.
