Have finally found a dentist where I don't live in dread of the appointment and shake all over when in the chair.

I admit it: I'm jealous. I want your dentist!

They also will leave me alone when I freak out and am all, "NO, IT TAKES A LONG TIME FOR THE NOVOCAINE TO WORK! JUST LET ME SIT HERE A WHILE PLZ!"

I always tell my dentist that I definitely want a break in the middle, because if I don't know that there's a halfway point where I can breathe for a while, I have a tendency to panic, get up, and flee from the office. (Seriously. One time, the only way I could keep myself from running with my cleaning half-done was to run to the bathroom and lock myself in.) Fortunately, my dentist is good about this, and now it's reached the point where when it's break time, I just keep on going so that it can be done sooner. (I still insist that the option be offered, though. Every time.)

But the movies are no help at all. I would much prefer the mini-spa treatment.

(...Hmmm. Have you noticed that there seem to be no dentists in fandom? Why is that, I wonder? At least a fannish dentist would pick good movies.)
