See, I have solved this problem by never sending feedback at all. No, really. I choke and then I clutch and then I don't click reply. But it's a lot easier to REC a long story, so I hope my recs make up for my lack of feedback. (Yes, I've been told many times that they don't. But they're what I can do.)

And, yeah, it always seems so inadequate to respond to a 100k word story with, "I loved this!" I know most authors wouldn't mind, but. My brain minds the wordcount and awesomeness disparity.
