Yeah. I most definitely was more of a John/Rodney person before the whole Keller-bashing extravaganza happened. And even then, I was never an OTPer. So, this story for me was fascinating and refreshingly realistic, and painful to read for their friendship destroyed (though I like to think the friendship *will* recover from it, eventually...), but it didn't hit me in the way it seemed to have hit the other readers who commented.
