I remember my dad talking about the ships the size of a city OVER YOUR HEAD, and trying to explain why it was such an amazing thing at that time! I think, for me, Star Wars has always been so much *there* - I didn't even see it until I was an adult, but I knew about it - that it's hard to imagine what a sea change it must have been at the time.

So, everything changed. For fans, as well as movies.
