Very true about B7 -- if you want lighthearted frolics, that is definitely not your show.

Classic Who is fun! I grew up on Tom Baker and Peter Davison (Four and Five), so I can't say much about the series before the early 80s. But there's good stuff in that era, including some episodes written by Douglas Adams.

There is also a monster made of bubble-wrap, so yanno, just to set your expectations. (:
