What little fanfic I read tends to stay to the Harry Potter and X-Files side of things, so no, I hadn't read them. I did scuttle off and check them out. They're also really well written, although I think Modus Vivendi was a little padded, and would have read better with one or maybe two chapters eliminated - although there may have been all sort of subtle stuff going on there that I, as a person not familiar with the canon, just didn't get. That fic would fall squarely into the hurt/comfort category, right? (Except Spike is not so very much with the comforting part of it.)
