Well, be VERY careful when you eventually do so. Because some people (ie, me) have been known to hurt themselves laughing at times... and it is full of gross jokes, obscenity and really nasty nastiness! :D

I admit to having skipped the first season (written by a different writing team which was just not as funny as Ben Elton) and I suggest you try the second season first: the first episode is the one referred to above, BTW.

Note: each season of Blackadder covers a different generation of this terrible family, so there is no downside to watching them out of order and you will not be losing any backstory. Seasons 3 and 4 are also very funny, but only season 2 contains the very best character of them all: Elizabeth II, FTW!
