I mean, not responding to a negative review just seems like common sense to me -- responding won't get you anywhere and it won't change that reader's opinion of the book.

Yeah! I mean, I get that it's hard, but -- okay, here's the funny thing. I would have tried another book by Price. It's a first novel, it's full of problems, but people who write a lot sometimes get better at it. But now I sure won't. Congratulations on alienating a reader who buys a lot of books, dude!
