Vids are about the only place I can actually enjoy Smallville. Did you watch the vid? I am by no means a Britney fan, but that vid is HOT.

I first rec that you join vidding. Looks like most of the vidders that I enjoy are members and post their latest stuff here. Plus, there is behind the scenes, making of stuff they discuss.
For The Sentinel, unfortunately, there is not a lot posted online. I really love Remi's vids. 'Tonight is Just for Us' is so freaking beautiful; there was a time I watched it every night for months. (Obsessive much?? Not me) She also has two really good ones to Sarah McLachlan. I know SM is a standard for a lot of vidders. Not quite to the point of the Evanescence song example you mentioned, but Remi's makes these songs for the TS fandom. As you say, she has something to say with these songs and her clips are awesome. As far as I know, Remi does not have an online presense at all. I can give you her contact info if you want it. She will send you vhs or cd of her stuff.
Also, Diana Williams has done amazing things with TS fandom. Again her stuff is not online either. Well, she has a site where you can view her works in progress. She has moved largely into Snape area. Also has a lot of multifan vids. She did some fine, fine work work for slashers. I liked especially Leave to the Matchbox 20 song. That was another song that I watched that vid everyday for months. Also Gonna Get Me which is Jim expressed so freaking well to a Pink song! LOL. She has about a half a dozen other TS vids that I highly rec. One of the problems with DW vids is pixelation. I wish she could rework them, but we don't even have dvds in TS fandom to work with. ::pout::
The Rent Girls did a TS vid to Tom Jones What's New Pussycat that can be downloaded.
If I was to add anything to your wonderful allocution, it would be that vidders make their vids available online for download. My preferred place to watch vids is on my PC, so I don't want the vhs copy. I can get really bitchy and start ranting about multifandom vids and use of dialog in vids, but then I might piss someone off and lose my hook up. I can't be cut off. I need vids!
A lot of the people you already mentioned are great. I think Luminosity is a genius. I don't think the WOAD Society exists anymore, but a lot of her former creative inner circle just rock. Killa, Melina, Carol S. I don't think I saw HL on your user profile, but they pretty much vidded this fandom. DW has some great HL stuff too. Killa and Carol S did some awesome HCL vids. Carol S also covers SG1 and XF. I think these guys must have been vidding since forever!
Anyway, I will leave you in peace. I have rambled on long enough. Probably too long. I have trouble knowing when to shut up.
