*waves at Heim*

Basically, I'd sloped off to soak in sudden random phobias probably triggered by holiday madness. You know - my mother planning five family trips in three days, one of my dogs developing suspicious lumps, Yuletide Panic, mallphobia. That kind of thing.

But I wanted to tell you that the dogs got the Greenies and enjoyed them so much that I think I'm going to have to start buying them. (I've always believed that they'd eat them in three bites, glump glump glump, and get no benefit from them, but on Christmas Day they proved that they know how to savor things now.) So they thank you and I thank you and we all think you are wonderful. Because you are. Plus, we approve of your Christmas cards.

And, OK. The story I wrote for Yuletide can be found here (http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/archive/11/atraditional.html), but do not consider it recommended, because I can't recommend it. I can't even read it. (Seriously; I had to write it with my glasses off. I expect to be able to face it sometime in March, by which time it will be almost as new to me as it is to people who didn't write it.)

But my recipient requested dogs, mischief, and Christmas in the All Creatures Great and Small Fandom (and it is a fandom, in the sense that I have thus far found one other existing story in it), and by god that's what she got, and she seemed pleased, so I'm pleased. Just not quite able to face the story yet.
