I totally agree with the ones, who said, that if you don’t want to receive feedback for your older work, take it down. Period. If you feel ashamed or even embarrassed being associated with this particular vid, then don’t display it. There are a lot of older vids out there, which despite their obvious flaws still have my undying love, because they touched me deeply, made me rethink, made me squee, made me a very happy shipper and these vids will never go out of fashion for me.

So on occasion I will tell the vidder, that this was my perfect vid and I can understand when someone cringes at that, because I do it, when getting such a statement, but I still feel enough for my vid to keep it online and I totally get what they mean. Sometimes it isn’t about technical perfection and all about emotions, if you connect to a vid or not. If the story the vidder tries to tell is one you are willing to hear and if their view is something you might consider a possibility and sometimes everything comes together just right and you cannot pin down, why this particular vid has such an impact on you, because you see that there are stray frames, the timing is slightly off or the talking heads are there and still you are absolutely in love with it and I see nothing wrong with saying so, if the vid is still online.
