And I do totally want you to look at my hypothetically [info]picfor1000 story. I just have to screw my courage to the sticking point and look at it first, and so far, um. I'm not very brave.
I'd say 'Don't be silly, I'm sure it's great' but really, it's not silly to think these things, and I do them myself. I think possibly my 'Please watch for _____ in this beta' note to you was something along the lines of 'ways to make this suck less, and now I'm actually rather happy with it. I think a lot of us just need distance.
Of course, I am still reasonably sure it's great. *G*
Current goal: to get the damn thing posted before the next [info]picfor1000. That should be doable, right?
It's only slightly less than an entire year -- I have faith! You wouldn't want to disappoint me now, would you? (Because after all, you should be writing for myself, and everyone else, as opposed to for yourself. Yes. *shifty eyes*)
I am, in fact, still interested in Who, although it thwarts me at every turn in a way that suggests it is possessed by pure, unspeakable evil. File transfers would be delightful.
*braces for further thwarting*
The easiest way for me to transfer files is through AIM, because my webspace is not my own, but graciously provided to me by other. Do not fear The Thwarting, though -- if you don't use AIM already, it's free to sign up at aim.com. I promise not to start stalking you. My SN is Ayana Lily, and though I'm not on that often, it wouldn't be any problem to arrange to be there.
Any idea as to where you'd like to start? I have S2 and some old school Who (Romana! Sarah Jane!) on my computer at the moment, but S1 is only a few seconds' work for me to pull S1 from the disks. So there are a few options: Start with the beginning (of the new series), start with Jack, start with the inexplicable attractiveness of David Tennant, or start with the wonderful camp of old school sci fi.
If the AIM thing really don't work for you, I shall figure something else out.
