Well, if you're wondering what you can do to get me to read the FF, fear not - you've already done it. And that's not something to be proud of, young lady. Do you realize I read in forty freaking fandoms? I need another one like I need...like I need...you know. Something I don't need very much. But, fine, you've got me reading another. I hope you're happy.

*laughing* Yessss. I consider it the evil version of paying it forward, for the many years I spent driving myself insane with multifannishness. ;-)

If you're wondering what you can do to get me into the canon stuff, I hope the answer is "nothing." Because I did the comics thing once. I still wake up at nights screaming in pain when my brain attempts to unravel the complexities of the X-universe (I suppose I should say X-multiverse) while I'm sleeping. I just don't have the spare brain space for this sort of thing anymore, at least not if I want to store both verbs and nouns in there, too.

*heeeeee* I know this pain WELL. My teen years were rife with X-confusion. So *sad*. I'm not sure *why* DC is different -- all that canon, all of those *characters* -- but it is. *shrugs* All I can say is that there are a lot of great comics out there these days, quite a few I'd recommend even to people who AREN'T looking for pretty people to slash...

(Well, I also recommend it because I have this terrible disease - Reading-Proselytizing Syndrome - wherein I cannot resist the temptation to shove things I've read and loved down the throats of everyone I can reach. But the recommend-it-because-I-can't-write-it thing is true too.)

Awwww. Well, that's okay. :D
