No, there's no anime. I'm not really sure what to say, because I've never heard anyone having trouble with the art before. (BTW, where did you download them? I didn't know they were online.) I can make just one suggestion, and that's to read the wonderfully snarky summaries at http://www.eroicafans.org/ . They were written before officially sanctioned translations had started, and before the fan scanlations had been put on PDF files so we fen could exchange them more easily. (And btw, if you like I can send you a CD-ROM with all of them on it.)
