I now have a picture of Ray Kowalski sitting in his Chicago apartment (this would be during the series, obviously) on the Saturday of a three-day weekend, getting thoroughly plastered and watching four Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies back-to-back. And then calling Fraser at, like, four in the morning and explaining how he's figured it all out now.

(What he would have figured out, of course, is the sweet Mountie love and international relocation thing, because of course you're right - that's basically just what every Ray needs. But I can picture him explaining this to Fraser using Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies as a metaphor. While drunk. My head hurts now.)
