The really horrifying part of this is that That Good Night actually spent most of its life while being written titled Send Me No Flowers, after the Doris Day/Rock Hudson movie which inspired it. The problem with writing fanfic based on screwball comedy is that if you start by stripping out the screwball comedy? You wind up with something pretty, um. Grim.
