*raises sheepish hand of Never Having Seen A Single Genre-Switch Trailer* Could you perhaps point me in the correct direction there?
Also: having watched every episode of seasons 1 through 6 of Red Dwarf so many times I can practically do them by heart (love love LOVE that series), I can very readily see how suicidally depressing most eps would be without the lashings of humo(u)r crude and otherwise. Some of them get close anyway - the 5th-season one where they get taken down by the Suicide Squid and discover the whole thing's been a game is a major downer, though also one of my favorite eps. I downloaded a couple of Red Dwarf audiobooks a while back, read by Chris Barrie, and though I adore him and thought he did a remarkable job of the various voices, I found them, on the whole, too dark for my shiny-happy-endings-please taste.
