Yes, there was a good reason not to link to the stories: I'm an idiot. I made a minor but terminal error in the links when I wrote this and then didn't test the story links when I posted. So they're fixed now - all the links should work, though I am apparently enough of an idiot today that I can't promise it - and thanks for alerting me to this.
