Isn't it? There are times when I resign myself thinking that vids will forever be a mystery to me, and then I come across something like that, and remember that no, only 99% of vids are a mystery!

Although I did like that HP one you linked. For non-comedy vids, I think I do better if I know the story beforehand*. So I watched it with your summary in mind and could make out a story from that. But if I had watched it just straight, I think I could have been bored/confused and clicked out after a minute or so. (What was other people's take, btw? I'm so curious, since I can't figure it out myself.)

*There was a vid made for one of the stories in spn_j2_bigbang and I found it fairly easy to follow, too, since it told the story of the fic and thus I wasn't just sitting there assaulted by random images and music and trying to make sense of it.
