I seriously love you for that line.

Then you will probably have to marry Lynn in a shotgun wedding after you see what she did (http://thefourthvine.livejournal.com/86583.html?thread=4292663#t4292663), OMG. It's just AMAZING.

Also, your journey w/r/t vids seems to be a lot like mine (only it took me longer to figure out that vids were a conversation I genuinely cared about being a part of; for a long while I was so exasperated by not understanding them that I only wanted to see vids that featured MY characters, which can really hamper a girl) so this post resonates for me a ton.

I would be interested in talking more about your journey toward vids, when you have time. (Which I know is so very much not now. But when you have time!) It's a fascinating topic to me. Um. Obviously.

And I most definitely had my moments of total lack of appreciation of vids - I remember when I read [livejournal.com profile] laurashapiro's dS stuff, early in my fannish experience, and realized she was vidding instead of writing these days and thought, what a waste. I...just really did not get it. (Also, I think what [livejournal.com profile] paceus said, above, about feeling left out - that might have been a factor there, too.) But then I looked around and realized that these people, who had such impressive LJs and so many impressive thoughts, wouldn't be vidding unless it meant something. And then my curiosity kicked in. I am beset with curiosity, and I always want to know what people are saying. This was an advantage for me with vids. And I'm grateful, because they are so very worth it. *admires their shininess*
