I think mine often are, too - because the ones that are easy for me to understand are the ones that immediately grabbed me, if that makes sense. My brain went, "AH HA!" in triumph, in other words.
My favorite is an AMV to "Here Comes the Sun" of different Miyazaki movies. Actually, you may have recced that one... It just makes me happy!
