See, and I always thought Jeeves was a time traveler from a century with Superior Logic and Reason (and also some limited psychic powers). He's been put in place because he has to save Bertie from one specific fate. In the meantime, though, he's enjoying himself. And maybe doing a bit of good. But mostly enjoying himself.
