helenish is SO VERY MUCH my "I need an angsty story that will cheer me up" go-to-writer. I did not know what to do when her site was down! I rely on it! astolat also serves such a function, but generally with different angst. (Although I still love that Theft of Assets, Destruction of Property had a whole bunch of comments going "this is your happiest story ever" and me going "this is your saddest story ever!")

Also, I am mostly confused as to how I came out from that rec going thingswithwings wrote breastfeeding porn? How did I not notice this? Do I want to read this? HUH WHAT? And then I clicked the link and went "oh, brain!"

But I actually did not know about this story from china_shop and yay for the recommendation. Her stuff is always worth reading, but this was particularly fabulous.
