*facepalms* That Top Gun fic... how can it be so good?!

I should really rewatch the movie sometime, too. I've seen it about a gazillion times at around age 12, and I am certain it has *something* to do with making me into a slasher almost a decade before I discovered what slash even was. Even if I totally bought into the het romance at the time. *more facepalming*
