As it turns out, that's pretty much what I ended up doing. (If you do this, note that you can't actually use the link list, because it tops out at thirty, which is a mere bagatelle to the truly multi-fandomed. But wistfuljane taught me a workaround that is a thing of beauty and a joy forever.)
