Hi there, I got sent here from somewhere, which I forget now, and I've been immoderately gulping through all your recs to the detriment of, you know, tidying the living room and whatnot.

It's so exciting to find a new recs site, especially since some of my old standbys are only posting, like, every six months anymore. [ahem, TORCH]

Anyway, what I want to know is, WHERE IS THE WIMSEYSLASH?? I've been watching the BBC series lately and oh my god, he is so in love with Bunter it's not even funny. Don't get me wrong, I love Harriet Vane even if she is, like, the ur-Mary Sue, but, okay:

Exhibit one: Bunter to Wimsey (and this is actually in the book) "If you desire it, my lord, I shall endeavour to insinuate myself to your lordship's satisfaction"

Exhibit two: (and okay, in the book Wimsey is riding the horse, but clearly whoever did the miniseries is a rabid Wimsey/Bunter shipper) Wimsey is watching Bunter ride this horse, bareback(!) across the beach, and he is just completely undone by his fabulousness, and he's all (something like) "he's a crack shot and he cooks like Escoffier", I didn't quite catch it exactly because I was like OMG he wants to have like ten thousand of his babies!!! (Have you seen American Beauty? I know you're not a big watcher of movies)

Exhibit three: later, after the horse incident, Wimsey asks Bunter, "I suppose someday you'll leave me and start up a pub somewhere..." and Bunter is like, "um, a pub?? I DON'T THINK SO."

These are just a few small examples.

And not to mention all the fabulous opportunities for backstory, like how they were in the Great War together and Wimsey got shell-shock and had nightmares and Bunter had to nurse him back to health and saved his life and all this is totally canon.

Okay, I'm going to go lie down now. :)

Really, I just wanted to say fab LJ--didn't mean to get all carried away there.
