Poll: Distraction Is Good

I'm kind of - not too bright sometimes. For example, when I grabbed an oven rack to move it around without, um, checking to see if it was hot? That was a "not so bright" moment in my life, right there.

Also, ow.

So I want distraction, with a minimum of typing involved. It's time for a poll! With, ideally, lots of comments! Come on, people - please. Distract me.

(I do actually have a place I'm going with this, by the way - except for the last question, which is there solely because LJ is crazed tonight. I'm trying to find out what fans do and how they do it. Assuming the ice does its job, I'll have a meta post on this sometime in the distant, murky future. Probably.)

Luckily, I have my bookmarks to tell me when I started bookmarking fannish stuff. Otherwise, I'd forget, too.

Although, even now, I tend to stick to chuncks of one fandom, not jump from one story to another.

See, I tend to have one fandom that I use as a palate cleanser between courses of other fandoms. So, right now, I might start off with an amuse-bouche of HnG humor, then whet my appetite with DCU kink, continue on to SV smut, consume some rich and meaty SG1 gen, move on to some crunchy meta, trifle with some Ocean's 11 banter, devour some sweet dS, and finish by nibbling on a couple small fandoms. But in between a lot of those courses, I'll be reading SGA.
