Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I will be trying to reply to them individually, but, um, I gave myself the Best Birthday Present Ever: food poisoning. So I'm a bit behind with LJ and related things. While I try to catch up - and try to remember how and why we eat food - let me just say that it was wonderful to come in here today and be greeted by all the happy birthdays. (That's what I want to remember from this birthday, and in fact it's pretty much all I want to remember, because the rest of it was seriously not worth it.)

Ack, I'm so sorry to hear about the food poisoning. But I'm fairly sure there's a rule which states if you're sick on your birthday, you get a whole week after to celebrate your day! So think of it as a Birthday Extension Celebration.
