Poll: Vid Watching
This is the counterpart to the poll I posted earlier. (It, uh, had to undergo some revisions after the results of that poll.) And this one is for anyone who has ever seen a vid.
Again, feel totally free to pimp. I'd love to get a range of responses on this one.
After this, there'll be a round of vid meta coming out, but then I swear we'll go back to fan fiction. I'm really starting to miss recommending the written word.

And I'm actually a very free-and-easy downloader, especially in rare fandoms. (Really popular vid fandoms - well, I can get vidded out if I see too many in one fandom, so I'm more picky about downloading stuff in, say, SGA or SPN than in a fandom I've only ever seen two vids for.) But, yeah, I hear you on the picky. I just always figure - it's four minutes, so it's no big deal if it sucks. (And a lot of them do suck, but some are surprisingly fabulous.)
I find my pickiness is in direct proportion to how much there is to download, and to my downloading speed; when I had slower DSL, I was more picky, and when there are boodles of great vids out, I tend to get more picky.

I know there are vidders who can make a good vid in a day, but I don't think there are many of them. Hence the prejudice. *g*
Still, if it was recommended by people I trust, or it was in a rare fandom I love, or by a vidder I know does great work, I'd download it anyway despite all of the above.
